Trainer treated Spinach, cv. Donkey F1, grown in optimal conditions had a 58 % higher yield, 60 % higher leaf dry weight, 4 % more leaves (ns) 19 % more leaf area, 19 % more chlorophyll, leaves contained 1.5 % more dry matter (ns), 11 % more proteins, 2.8 % more P (ns), 36.4 % more K, the same amount of Ca, 25 % more Mg, 23.5 % less Na, 30.7 % more phenols and 79.1 % more ascorbic acid compared to the untreated control plants
