Chito Plant treated Strawberry, cv. Camarosa, stored for 7 days and exposed to 3 days shelf-life showed a 53.2 % lower decay %, a 23.9 % lower disease severity index and a 64.4 % lower McKinney index caused by Gray mold (Botrytis cinerea (Pers.)) and a 79.2 % lower decay %, a 25 % lower disease severity index and a 84.4 % lower McKinney index caused by Rhizopus rot (Rhizopus stolonifer (Ehrenb.)) compared to the untreated control.

outdoor, soil grown, organic strawberries selected for market immersed in 5L biostimulant solution for 10s. Air dried for 1hr, stored for 7 days at 0 ± 1 ◦C, 95–98% RH, and then exposed to 3 days shelf-life at 20 ± 1 ◦C, 95–98% RH.
